Strength & Conditioning classes are the heart of what we do at Compound. These 1 hour classes are designed to get/keep you strong, fit, healthy and ready for life. Through personal training within a group environment, we use functional movement to improve every aspect of fitness. You will regularly be asked to push, pull, squat, hinge, sprint, jump, swing, carry, stretch, laugh, support and most importantly HAVE FUN!
These classes are suitable for all abilities and fitness levels; from the absolute beginner through to the competitive athletes.
Compound30 is a brand new edition to our timetable and the clue is in the name; we aim to get you warmed up, through a great workout, and cooled down within a 30 minute class. This class is perfect for those who struggle to fit training into their busy schedule or just want a quick Hiit after work! This class is unlike our strength & conditioning classes... less about moving weights and more about moving your body and raising your heartrate quickly. If you enjoy a Hiit class, you will LOVE Compound30.
Compound Strength & Conditioning is affiliated to the British Weightlifting Association as Nottingham Weightlifting Club. We offer a 3 day a week Olympic Weightlifting program, with all 3 sessions closely coached by one of our experienced trainers. These classes are suitable for the complete beginner right through to the competitive athlete. These classes run:
Tuesdays 7:30pm – 9:00pm
Thursdays 7:30pm – 9:00pm
Saturdays 10:30am – 12:00am
Our strongman class is designed for all fitness levels and abilities; and by no means just for men. Within this hour class you will be carrying, pulling, pushing and lifting heavy & challenging objects. This is a super fun class and a lot of our member’s favourite! Often working in groups, this class is perfect for helping to develop & test your strength and have a bit of fun mid-week while you’re doing it!
Strongman runs every Wednesday 6:30 – 7:30pm
Calisthenics is coached by Defying Gravity, aka Marcin, and is a fortnightly session designed to improve stability, mobility & strength using your own body weight.
Yoga will be launching at Compound from Friday 1 st September! Instructed by Body Buddha (aka Rachel Charlesworth) these vinyasa flow classes will be running every Friday evening 7:30pm-8:30pm and will be the perfect way to round off your week of training!
Pilates will be launching at the beginning of August and we cannot wait! These classes will run on Monday evenings 8:00pm-9:00pm and Wednesday mornings 8:30am-9:30am and will be instructed by Chloe, a local physiotherapist. So what does Pilates taught by a physiotherapist mean? Well, modified Pilates is a form of dynamic stabilisation retraining that reconditions the body from the central core to help promote ‘normal’ movement patterns. Over the years many of us find that our posture becomes the main reason for our pain and when you add gym in the mix too it can have a negative impact on your training. These classes will help you to encourage normal movement patterns that you will then use whilst training.
For more information about this class, you can contact Chloe on 07764744745 or email@example.com
We have a range of membership packages available to suit your schedule and budget.
